how do i get to salt spring island?
Salt Spring Island is located in the Canadian Gulf Islands, a quick drive or walk-on ferry ride from Vancouver or Victoria. There is also an opportunity to take a Seaplane to Salt Spring from nearby locations. We will provide detailed timeline and travel information with formal invitations, allowing guests ample time to make arrangements.
HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN TO STAY?
Festivities will begin the afternoon of Friday, July 24th; with the ceremony, reception and afterparty taking place Saturday, July 25th; followed by a day of rest and recovery on Sunday, July 26th. Megan and Alex will be on-island from 07/22 - 07/27.
We picked a beautiful location and great time of year to be in the Gulf Islands and encourage guests to consider planning their trip to include additional time before or after scheduled events to maximize spending time together and exploring a unique part of the world!
WHERE WILL I STAY ON THE ISLAND?
There are many lodging opportunities on the island from cabins to hotels and Airbnb's. Detailed lodging information and options will be provided with mailed invitations, allowing ample time for you to make arrangements.
ARE KIDS WELCOME TO JOIN?
Saturday's ceremony and reception will be child-free with the exception of babes in laps, due to venue capacity limitations. However, we encourage all families and children to join Friday and Sunday's events. During Saturday's ceremony and reception, in collaboration with the venue we will help to arrange child-care to watch your little ones as needed, so please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to bring children.

We understand it can be a great undertaking to join us for a weekend in another country. We're excited to celebrate with you, but if you're unable to make it, please let us know.
